ABOUT OUR PONCE EMERGENCY RESIDENCY PROGRAM
Our 3-year categorical program uses a 28-day block program. Each year offers 7 positions for residents. Residents work to achieve our program goals under the direct supervision and guidance of highly motivated Board-Certified Attending Emergency Medicine Physicians. Most of our faculty is fellowship trained in different fields of Emergency Medicine.
Our Emergency Department offers three patient care areas: ED Main, Fast Track and the Pediatric ER. Serving a tertiary medical institution in the South of Puerto Rico, our residents are exposed to a wide range of pathologies, life-saving procedures and emergent resuscitations.
